Coaching as a Parnassah - Utilizing Your Knowledge & Life Skills

You can use your knowledge and experience to earn a good parnassah in the new profession of Coaching, from home, using your expertise in Life, Learning, Marriage, Parenting, Shidduchim, Career, Writing, Cross-Cultural Business, Wellness, Transitions and Retirement. The recent rapid development of Coaching as a major professional service offers tremendous opportunity to those interested in a financially rewarding career helping others achieve greater success.

In our Torah tradition we have always had our leaders to guide and coach us. In the secular world many were turning to Psychologists and Psychoanalysts as their trusted advisors when faced with challenges.

Some 40 years ago world class athletes who achieved the greatest success attributed their greatest success to good coaching. This was then adapted to the corporate business world and consultants became coaches. These Executive Coaches had great proven cost effective success and soon no CEO was working without the benefit of a coach. Then more and more managers also wanted their own coach, which also proved worthwhile. Soon non-corporate individuals were hiring their own coaches to help them accomplish their goals. These were being called life coaches and before long coaches were helping people achieve success in many different areas such as marriage and family relationships, educational and career transition, life-style transformation, retirement and almost every aspect of life.

Some basic questions that present themselves about coaching are what is the secret of coaching? Why is it so successful and popular? Who can be a coach and how does one become a coach?  The primary secret of coaching is the nature of the relationship and attitude between the client and the coach. It is one of a respectful, caring, and empathetic understanding by the coach towards his client. It becomes an empowering, collaborative partnership seeking and promoting the well being and success of the client who is the one ultimately responsible for choosing his/her goals and accomplishing them. Secondly, it is successful and popular because it works, and is cost effective. Thirdly to be a good, effective coach does require both the right attitude and the ability to build and maintain a coaching relationship and a set of skills and tools used by good coaches that can be learned and developed by training, practice and experience.

Becoming a successful coach has many rewards. The satisfaction of helping people achieve success and fulfillment and the handsome fees per hour of a coach averages twice that of a couns------elor. And this is usually working from home by phone at the coaches scheduled convenience. Coaches come from many backgrounds and fill many niches in the world today. The skills and tools of coaching find many very useful applications. These skills can be learned and developed in a proper training program.
